We have stated many times about this, Vietnam has sufficient legal grounds and historical evidence to affirm Vietnam’s sovereignty over the Hoang Sa and Truong Sa archipelagoes in accordance with international law. economic.

The fact that Taiwan continues to hold live-fire drills in the waters around Ba Binh in Vietnam’s Truong Sa archipelago is a serious violation of Vietnam’s territorial sovereignty over these islands, threatening peace. maritime stability, safety and security; causing tension and complicating the situation in the East Sea.

Vietnam resolutely opposes and asks Taiwan to cancel the above illegal exercise and not to repeat it in the future.

Previously, the SCMP newspaper reported that Taiwan would conduct a live-fire drill from March 16 to 17 and another from March 26 to 31.

The drills took place in the morning and at night, simulating fighter jet and amphibious assault scenarios.
